ONLY JEE MAIN is option for Engineering Competitive Exam

MHT CET 2014 Exam has been scrapped and now JEE Main 2014 would be used to admit candidates in the engineering courses. For more information on JEE Main exam, click HERE.
MHT CET 2014 Entrance Exam (now known as MT CET) will be conducted around mid week of May 2014. Forms for the same will be filled on the official website. Candidates interested to take admission must obtain the application form kit and brochure from the School/Junior College after paying the suitable fee in the form of demand draft in favor of “Director, Technical Education, Mumbai”, payable at Mumbai.

Note: This article is based on previous year information on MHT CET Entrance Exam. As soon as the new notification is released the articles shall be updated.

MHT CET 2014 Application Form

Fee of the form for open category candidates is Rs.700 and Rs.500 for Backward Class. After getting the form, candidates have to access the official website and browse to “Apply Online” link.  Next step is to fill the Application Number & Password given in the kit. Then, apply the correct and complete information in the Application Form as asked and upload the photo and signature. Next step is thorough verification of the information filled to detect errors and eliminate them.

Afterwards, two print outs of filled MHT CET 2014 Application Form must be taken and get it signed by parents. This filled and signed form printouts has to be submitted at the School/Junior College where Principal would attest them as well by signing and applying seal. One copy of the printout will serve as Receipt-cum-Id Card. The amount of fee remains same for candidates who have attempted HSC or equivalent exam outside Maharashtra. They have to submit the MHT CET 2014 Application Form at any of the 35 notified colleges as per brochure.

The submission process remains nearly same for such candidates with an exception that they have to attach photocopies of SSC Id Card and mark sheets as well. All these documents must be brought in originals too. Candidates belonging to the defense category can buy the form from any scheduled Commercial Bank by paying Rs.700 through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Competent Authority, MH-CET, Mumbai”, payable at Mumbai. Form sent via post, courier will be disqualified. Also, multiple forms and incompletely filled forms are liable to rejection.
MHT CET 2014 Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria comprises of terms and conditions that must be satisfied in order to be eligible for the admission process. Candidates must check the criteria beforehand registration and applying through form. MHT CET 2014 Eligibility Criteria describes the minimum requirements which must be fulfilled by candidates to be eligible.
Any discrepancy or misleading information found at any stage of admission will lead to cancellation of candidate status. It has been set according to the candidate’s domicile, GOI, J&K migrant status, defence category and physically disabled status. A minimum marks percentage has also been set.
MHT CET 2014 Counselling

Counselling for MHT CET 2014 is also called centralized admission process (CAP). It will be carried out in 3 rounds of which first 2 is for all candidates and the third is reserved for Maharashtra candidates. Candidates, in the counselling process, will fill choices online of the colleges and courses according to the priority.
MHT CET 2014 Counselling process will include document verification as well. Candidates have to bring the documents in originals along with the reservation certificates. It is necessary to register before taking part in the counselling process where candidate will be provided password and registration number to login in the profile page.

MHT CET 2014 Exam Pattern

There shall be 2 question papers, details of which are given below:

Paper 1: Physics & Chemistry (50 marks each), Paper 2: Mathematics (100 marks)

MHT CET 2014 Admit Card

The printout attested by the principal of junior college/school will serve as receipt-cum-Identity Card for MHT CET 2014. It is required to be brought by the candidates, at the time of examination and choice filling. Candidates, who lose their MHT CET 2014 Admit Card or doesn’t get the admit card before the instructed date, ,may proceed to the district center office to get a duplicate cared issued. They must carry the original Receipt-cum-Identity Card for the same.

MHT CET 2014 Result

Result of the entrance exam would be declared around 1st week of June 2014 on the official DTE website. Score card of the same can be obtained from principal office. If the candidate has lost the MHT CET 2014 Result, a duplicate card will be issued by submitting an application to the competent authority along with a Demand Draft of Rs.100 drawn in favor of ‘Competent Authority, MH CET, Mumbai”, payable at Mumbai. To get the marks verified, candidates can send the application with a demand draft of Rs.500 in unstamped envelope within 4 days of declaration of result. No marks will be awarded to multiple attempted, scratched or improperly marked questions.
